Question : I have some swelling on my knee. Fluid build up. I can walk on it with some pain. Should I avoid walking? I am at Disney World for the week. Last week I experienced 2 days too tender to walk. Massage therapy helped a lot. Alieve 1, 220mg last night helped to relieve pain noticeably. I am avoiding sugar and caffeine. Do not smoke. Drank a small glass of wine with dinner last night an hour after taking Alieve.

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. Your fluid in knee joint may be related to excessive walking. It will be beneficial for you to avoid walking. Quadriceps excercises will be beneficial. You are already taking alieve(analgesic) . You can continue with it. Crepe bandage application during day time will be beneficial. Elevation of limb during resting period and night time will be beneficial. Vitamin B and C is helpful in recovery.
You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
