default
Posted on Fri, 8 Sep 2017
Question: Good evening, I have been experiencing slight pain and tightening in the middle of my chest which radiates up into my throat - similar to heartburn plus a tingling feeling across my scapula. It comes spasmodically and if l breath deeply it relieves it slightly. I do have a heart condition from birth- leaking valve and small holes in the heart which cause irregular heart beat , dizziness etc but the symptoms lm currently experiencing are very different to my ongoing heart condition.

Brief Answer:
Most likely to be a cardiac problem only.

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
This pain you are describing is most likely to be due to cardiac problem only. It happens when the heart functions are not fully normal and there is strain on heart muscles.
I suggest you go for Stress echo and TMT and consult your cardiologist ASAP.
Thanx for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
