What Causes Pain And Weakness In Wrist?

Question: My right wrist is hurting. Kind of a dull ache and peaks of pain and weakness (like I'm going to drop whatever I'm holding) when I move it certain ways.
Brief Answer:
It could be tendinitis.
Detailed Answer:
It seems to be tendinitis (inflammation of tendon) of wrist causing your symptoms. Give rest to your wrist and avoid movement that aggravate the pain.
Get an X ray done to rule out any bony pathology. You can take anti inflammatory drug like ibuprofen to reduce pain and inflammation.
Hope this helps you. Let me know if you have any more concerns.
Warm regards.

Right now I have it in a stiff, but not a compression brace. The brace keeps me from moving it too much. Would it be better to wrap it with an Ace bandage?
Brief Answer:
Only brace is ok.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There is no need of compression. Only brace is ok.
Wishing you speedy recovery.
Take care.
