Question: I'm a 70 year old male. Around 4pm today, I started having pain in the head area of my penis. It aches all the time. It feels like I have to urinate all the time. When i do, I have no trouble doing so. I've had no sexual activity for a long time.

Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
thank you for sending the question.

From what you have described it is possible that you have inflammation of the urethra. This could possibly be connected to a urinary tract infection or possibly inflammation of the prostate.

These particular things can cause a sensation of needing to urinate frequently. I would recommend that you touch base with your local medical provider who might collect a urinalysis for examination. You might benefit from an antibiotic which could lead to resolution of your symptoms within a short period of time.

Thank you again for sending your question.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
