Question : I was lifting and got a pain in the base of my thumb. it was sore but continued to lift and play softball. my hand has started to be painful and I have a small bubble on base of thumb

This could be a XXXXXXX fracture of the base of the thumb. I suggest you apply ice, wear a Thumb Spica splint and get it xrayed.
