Brief Answer:
Do ice massage and apply ointment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

Here, I would like to ask some more information.

Is there any redness or swelling around the site injection?
What injection was given?

Intramuscular injection are painful sometimes; but the inflammation and pain that follows gets subsided by proper care. If the injection was into the vein please let me know

You can apply ice cube and local pain reliever ointment (like diclofenac) over the site of injection frequently in a day.

Take over the counter pain killers like Tylenol after meal.

It may take 3 to 4 days to get better but if there is bluish discoloration over skin or developing abscess then I would advice you to see doctor for proper examination and treatment.

Kindly get back to me with some information.

Regards,
