Question : I have had headaches for two weeks straight. It was always behind the eyes. But the last couple days has spread to the temple area, which is also pulsating and throbbing. I thought it may be due to my contacts, so i switched them and it has still been occurring. I also feel that my vision is slightly blurred sometimes. What should i do??

Hello dear,welcome to HCM forum.

Headache that is pulsating and associated with visual blurring usually indicates a vascular headache(like migraine,tension type headache etc).
These headaches may be preceded by aura(features like visual blurring,emotional disturbances,nausea etc),usually occur on one side,comes in intermittent attacks and relieved by sleep.After confirming the diagnosis,this can be treated with specific drugs.
Anyhow,we need a detailed physical examination and sometimes imaging studies to rule out other causes like hypertension,anurysms,neoplasms etc.
Kindly see your doctor for this.
Meanwhile,drink enough fluids.Give your body adequate rest,have enough sleep daily.During headache,keep away fro noise and sleep for some time in a quite room.Also,you can use simple analgesics like acetamiophen 500mg or ibuprofen 400mg thrice daily when needed.
