Question : I am a 59 yr old female. I started getting soreness in my right side that went from a little aggravation to almost constant pain that wraps around to my back. It's just below my right breast and radiates to same place in the back. It has gotten worse over the past 3 days. Sometimes shooting pains to itchy pain that feels like it is coming from just below the skin or soft tissue. A week ago I pulled weeds In the yard and worked in my garden. Could this be a pulled muscle or something more serious. I don't have a gall bladder. I am on a fairly new prescription called Victoza. Nothing else has changed in my life.

Brief Answer:
Muscle pain likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The pain that you have described seems to be due to a muscle pull. if the pain is getting aggravated with change in posture or raising the arms then muscle pain is most likely cause. This can be relieved by oral muscle relaxant rest and a hot compress. You can wait for a few days and see if it subsides with these measures. Application of local analgesic gel will also help.
