Posted on Wed, 13 Jun 2018
Question: I have a steady pain below my rib cage on the right hand side. I can't get comfortable in any position. This has happened several times in the last week. I don't have diarrhea, stool appears normal. I've taken 2 aleve about 1 hour ago with no change.

Brief Answer:
It's advisable to rule out heart disease which can present in the same day

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir

I can certainly understand your concern.

I have worked through your query in detail.

As the pain did the resolve with Tablet ALEEVE, it's advisable to go for further evaluation of your symptoms to rule out underlying heart disease if any.

For this I advise you to get the following tests

1. Chest x-ray PA VIEW
2. ECG

Further management if any is largely based on test reports.

Meanwhile it's advisable to consider oral pain medication Tramadol after discussing with your physician.

Review with reports to determine further course of action.

Thank you
