Brief Answer:
Deep vein thrombosis;muscle fascia inflammation

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

Having pain between upper leg in the groin area might be related to:
- deep vein thrombosis
- inflammation of the local joint (coxo-femoral) and its muscular fascia.

So, to my opinion, it is important to discuss it further with the surgeon and to run further tests:
- Doppler of the leg blood vessels
- X-ray of the leg bone and pelvis area

Depending on the tests results, specific treatment will be prescribed.
Hope it helped!
