What Causes Pain, Burning Sensation And Swelling In The Toes?

default
Posted on Thu, 9 Nov 2017
Question: I am having burning, pain and a little bit of swelling in my toes, bilateral for about three months now. I was tested for diabetes and I do not have it. My doctor does not seem concerned about it but it is getting worse with time. I am on my feet all day and I can hardly walk by the end of my shift. Any suggestions?

Brief Answer:
Several reasons for the symptoms- kindly asked to provide few more details

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking at healthcaremagic.

I read your question carefully and there are a few possible causes of the symptoms you have. To better know the cause of them it would be helpful to know the following:

1. Is it just the swelling and burning sensation in both feet or the skin is red and has changes also?
2. How about the hands and other joints- do you experience swelling, pain or redness over other joints?
3. Have you had other tests other than the ones for diabetes?
4. How is your BMI (weight related to height)?
5. Do you have problems with varicose veins r any other chronic condition, any use of medications regularly?

Please let me know of the above questions so i can better understand why you have those symptoms and try to be a help to you.

Waiting to hear from you soon.

Kind regards,

Antoneta Zotaj, MD
