Brief Answer: Pain may be neural or arthritic in origin Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic. As you have asked that whether you should refer to another specialist or not, I suggest that you take the prescribed medication. The prescription contains analgesics, an antacid , muscle relaxant, an antidepressant, nutritional supplements that is vitamin D, and an ointment for local application for a period of 14 days. Pain killer will take care of any inflammation and muscle relaxant will looser the muscle spasm that may have developed as a result. Antacids are prescribed to counteract the acidity that may happen as a result of pain-killers. If she is not relieved after 14 days, then we will see what step to take next. Any good specialist would prescribe these medicines given your wife's history. As you have told that she is on thyronorm she can continue taking it without any hindrance . take care. If you have any doubt, please let me know. Dr Manmett

Brief Answer: All mentioned drugs are secreted in breast milk Detailed Answer: Hi there . I would like to bring to your notice that the baby is old enough to be weaned off from breast milk. He can be put on cow's milk and encouraged to feed on supplmentary foods. I am suggesting all this so that the your can wife can take medicines and be relieved of her symptoms. All these drugs are secreted in the breast milk and can have deleterious effect on the child . So I hope you follow my advice. Regards
