Question : Hello,
Have been having stomach problems off and on for over 2 months now. Have been to my family Dr who has ordered ultrasound and Xrays. Ultrasound shows a stone in the left kidney but nothing else remarkable. The lower left abdomen is where the pain is now, and if I press down on it, the pain is intense. I am 50 years old and in good health other than this. I am wondering if I should go to the ER tonight, or back to the Dr this week. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
ER for pain relief--------------------------------
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to the forum.
With the background of stone in the kidney and pain migrated from back to the front of the tummy means that the stone has moved to the ureter ( kidney pipe).
In this situation, it is better to go the ER for pain relief----
You may skip going to the ER if--
1. The pain is not intense or getting relieved with pain killers.
2. Bladder and bowels are smooth.
3. There is no fever.
Hope this helps,
Sincerely,
