Question : I am on Lisinopril 20mg a day. Starting late evening yesterday I began feeling aches in my legs and arms. I have been monitoring my BP all day and it is ranging around from 140 / 93 up to 181/118 with a HR averaging around 80+ - I am not sure if I should wait it out as I called my Primary Doctor but have not received a call back yet. My 24/7 Insurance Nurse said to go to the ER but I am thinking that may not be needed. I am looking for any thoughts or suggestions as I have been feeling nauseous and my legs and arms are feeling sore. I am a 40 year old male at 6'3" and around 265 lbs.
Brief Answer:
Your BP is quite uncontrolled
Detailed Answer:
Your BP is quite uncontrolled and varying. But it's difficult to say whether your symptoms are related to it or not. If it's only aches and pains, you don't have to worry too much and some rest and if necessary, over the counter analgesic like paracetamol/Acetaminophen should help.
But if you have any weakness in leg or hand or severe headaches, you need to see your doctor immediately. In the first scenario, even your BP fluctuations could be due to pain.
