What Causes Pain In Ball Of Foot?

Question: Hello. My 14 year old daughter has been having constant pain in the ball of her foot accompanied by sharp, stabbing pain. And MRI and X-Ray show no physical abornmalities. We're waiting for the result of a Lyme test, which we all think will be negative. Do you have any suggestions as to what to look for next? We're all kind of stumped. Thank you so much.
Brief Answer:
To rule out Vitamin B12 deficiency

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic

Dear XXXX
If there are no positive signs like trigger point, redness or swelling then its unlikely to be due to significant pathology.
One of the possibility that needs to be considered in absence of any other clinical signs is Vitamin B12 deficiency especially if the symptoms are present in both feet.
In the meantime local application of hot water fomentation , multivitamin and Calcium supplements along with leg elevation while sleeping will be beneficial.
Do keep me updated about the progress.
