What Causes Pain In Elbows, Knees, Hip And Ankles?

default
Posted on Tue, 3 Feb 2015
Question: Hello my name is XXXXXXX I am a 50 yr old female in relatively good health. But for a week now I have been experiencing moderated pain in my elbow joints, knees hips, and ankles also accompanied witha non itchy rash. The pain worsens when I sit. I have never had anything like this before and I am puzzled as to what it is, and I don't want to go to the doctor unless I know it isn't a virus

And ideas?

Little bit more information will be helpful

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.Going by the Short duration of symptoms it could well be a viral arthritis.which usually resolves of it's own with time, symptomatic treatment and rest.
To help you better please tell me-
1.Is there any redness of eyes with burning sensation while urination?
2.Any fever or loose motion prior to onset of joint pain?
A visit to physician and further observation is recommended.
Looking forward to your reply.
Take care

Thank you for your response!
There is no redness of eyes, loose motion or pain with urination

The red bumps are still present and the discomfort seems to be traveling from lim to lim feeling more so like the inflammation of. The. Tissue around the area. And very tender to touch.

I just don't know if I should just ride it out or go see my doctor, how long does viral arthritis normally take?

Thank you for your. Time
