What Causes Pain In Forehead Radiating To Eyes?

Question : Two days ago, I started having light headaches in the forehead, which intensified over night to the extent that I had to take a painkiller. The pain spread to my eyes and the bridge of the nose. After I took the painkiller, the pain gradually dissapeared, but it still hurt a little behind my left eye. The pain was gone, and I had stiffness in the left side of my neck, shoulder, and chest. Last night I could barely move for a few minutes. It feels better now, but my neck is still stiff a little. I had a similar episode about a month ago.

Hi,

I have gone through your question carefully and understood your concerns.

There are 2 main possibilities causing pain in your forehead, spreading in your eyes and the bridge of your nose leaving with neck pain and stiffness on your neck, shoulder and chest:
1. sinusitis
2. spondyloarthrosis (arthritis of vertebral spine) of neck level

I advise to :
- continue taking Aleve
- apply warm compresses on the neck area
- apply local analgesic cream
- avoid sharp movements of the neck
- physiotherapy/massaging of neck area with olive oil will help
- multivitamin supplementation containing: calcium, magnesium, vit.d and b complex, and fish oil can also help reduce inflammation improve your pain

Please get your blood pressure measured, and record the results for further evaluation. If no improvement in a few days, please consult with your physician as you might need specific treatment.
