Question: I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis and gout many years ago. In approx. 2000 had road accident diagnosed with spondylosis of neck spine. Had neurological problems eyes, neck pain in cervical spine, pain in right shoulder, right arm, hand, prone to falls, think walking but not. leg pain etc. Left side not as bad. Head aches etc. My Gp is not helpful Recently getting more problems with pain in head, eyes, left arm, around neck, ears and two different types headache. Eye sight test says within driving limits but spectacles not helping. See pale grey areas with holes in it. GP not interested neither is option. Why am I getting this. Also have od turns periodically affecting memory and eyesight. Please advise.

Brief Answer:
This can be sjogrens syndrome.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam ,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that since you had rheumatoid arthritis , there is a possibility that you may be having secondary sjogrens syndrome which results in dryness of eyes . In that case you can see the symptoms you are nentioning . I would like to see your latest test reports so that we can assess your situation and guide you accordingly .

Take care.

My GP has done no tests as he says rheumatism does not show up in my normal blood tests. My mother was totally crippled to total immobility with this condition and it did not show either. Optician not given me a report but I will ask for one.
Thank you for prompt answer. I was told many years ago that the spondylosis might affect the head and ears so thought it might be this.
Will contact you when I get the eye test report Thank you. xxxxxxxxxxxxx
