Brief Answer:
It can be muscle spaam

Detailed Answer:
Hello madam
I have read your case and I appreciate that you have given complete description of your disease, understandably so, as you are a nurse.
There are very few conditions which can cause such severe pain, and with duration and mode of onset, I can think only hip muscle spasm can be a cause.
It is a painful muscle tightness due to sudden bending and x rays are negative. Any movement leads to muscle cramp.
I would suggest you to get MRI, to confirm If there is any cartilage damage along with this.
I would suggest you to do bed rest. Hip traction if you can get by a physio, will give fast relief.
Take Brufen tablet for pain relief.
Do not do squat or cross leg sitting. Hot water bath will also help.
I hope answer will help you. Let Me know if you want to ask any other questions.
Thanks.
