Brief Answer:
Likely muscular or musculoskeletal but need more information.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for asking on HCM.

From all these facts you have posted here,it is more likely a muscular pain or musculo-skeletal pain or may be related to certain posture but I will need more information to assess your condition better.

Since how many days you are having this pain and discomfort?
Is there any particular posture from which it gets increased or relieved?
Any other symptoms apart from pain and discomfort?
How was the pain started means suddenly or gradually?
Is there any history injury or past disease?
Any medications (like pain killers) tried so far?

Kindly get back to me with these answers,I will give my opinion after that.

Brief Answer:
Likely muscular.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for sharing more information.

If there is no history of any injury and if it is relieved by taking OTC pain killers, then this is likely related to muscular or musculo-skeletal origin as I suspected earlier.

It could be because of muscle strain most likely due to bad posture.

Or lifting a heavy object, twisting, or a sudden movement can also cause muscles or ligaments to stretch or develop microscopic tears in muscles.

Some times improper diet and rest with increasing weight are all aggravating factors for such a problem.

Ensure that you maintain an appropriate posture while working or sitting or walking.

Take frequent stretch breaks and drink lots of water.

Discontinue using pillow while sleeping straight.

Do not lift heavy objects, especially after bending down or forward.

Eat a healthy wholesome meal which should satisfy your minerals and proteins requirement.

Continue to take pain killer medications (ibuprofen or aleve) in combination with muscle relaxants like Robaxin (methocarbamol).

Chlorzoxazone 205, Diclofenac Sodium 50,Paracetamol 325 (brand name:Dan-MR) is also a good combination.

You can also apply over the counter pain killer gel or ointment for faster relief.

Mostly, this kind of pain subsides within 5 to 7 days (maximum 10 days) with symptomatic medications with proper diet and rest.

Hope this will help.
