Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in the calf after a popping can be due to muscle or fascia tear. This can happen due to undue stress on the muscle fibers.
You need to give rest to your calf muscle and do a hot compress at the site of pain at least thrice a day. Do take a mild pain killer. Using an elastic bandage over the area will also help. Avoid any strenuous activity like climbing stairs or running for at least 2 weeks till it heals.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
