Question : I have not done anything to hurt or strain my left leg and left hip, yet the pain is bad enough that I cannot sleep on my left side or walk on it very long. What could it be? The pain is constant and goes down my leg hurting more in certain areas.
Brief Answer:
Needs evaluation.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,
Thank you for posting your query on HCM.
Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that since there is no history of any injury it could possibly be a muscle sprain that is troubling you . For the time being your should take muscle relaxant like chloroxazone twice daily in combination with paracetamol . Plus you can apply topical analgesic gels like diclofenac sodium gel or sprays .
I think it will settle in a day or two , if it continues further then probably an X ray or further evaluation will be required.
Take care.
