Brief Answer:
MRI lumbar spine is the Investigation of choice

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. To help you better please tell me-
1.Are you able to walk on your heels and toes?
2.Is there any radiating pain from lower back to legs with tingling and numbness in the leg?
The suffering you are going through is known as neuropathy and the cause could be diabetes or pinched nerve. MRI of lumbar spine is the recommended investigation.
Meanwhile you may add prescription only drug pregablin for leg pain beside aleve.
Looking forward to your reply.
