Brief Answer:
Left shoulder pain

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing pain in your left neck and shoulder. The two likely cause of pain in this area would be a muscle injury causing pain from the neck into the shoulder from a trapezial muscle strain. What is more than likely is a pinched nerve in your neck that is causing a deep pain from your neck into the arm. I would recommend that you see your medical provider and start physical therapy. This could help prevent you from having any surgery for a nerve pinching. Your doctor may start with therapy and then if it does not help then proceed with an MRI.

You can also use tylenol or ibuprofen for pain. Also use of heat may help lessen the pain.

In summary
1. muscle strain
2. Nerve pinch in neck
3. Treat with tylenol or ibuprofen
4. Physical therapy
5. MRI if no improvement

I hope I answered your question. please contact us again if you have any additional questions.
