Brief Answer:
Due to lactic acid build up as well as due to potassium depletion.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

The problem that you report is actually frequently encountered by many alcoholics. Alcohol can be toxic to nerve tissue. People who drink too much may start to feel pain and tingling in their limbs. This is known as alcoholic neuropathy. Moreover, metabolites of alcohol are actually even more toxic and cause build up of lactic acid in the muscles on one hand and electrolyte imbalance on the other, thus leading to the leg pains.

The best solution would be to refrain from alcohol or at least refrain from binge drinking.

Brief Answer:
Juicy fruits are a rich source of potassium

Detailed Answer:
You can take potassium supplements. However, instead of taking supplements my suggestion would be to take juicy fruits like citrus fruits as well as bananas since they contain plenty of potassium.
