Question : Sir, recently I got a pap smear and whole abdomen ultrasound and found out that I have PID. As per my gynaecologist's prescription I started to take placentrex injection but right now I am having unbearable pain in my lower abdomen and lower back and could not even move. What could be the reason?

                                    Brief Answer:
You should consult your doctor immediately.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us about it.
I can understand your concern here.
There are so many causes for severe pain in PID like peritonitis, abscess, adhesion and ectopic pregnancy (chances are less).
In my opinion you should consult your treating doctor immediately and get your examination and pelvic ultrasound performed to rule out the cause and took treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query if you have further questions I will be happy to assist you.
Good luck.
Regards
Dr.Richa

                                    Brief Answer:
You can stop the injection if symptoms persist.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Nice to hear from you all again.
Sorry for my delay in response.
As such these are usually not a side effect of placentrex injection, but if they were present after injection keep watch on it and if they persist you can break off the injection.
Vomiting and giddiness can occur in PID also.
You should start drinking a lot of water along with domestal( antiemetic medicine), if symptoms still persist, you can discontinue the use of injection.
Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more questions.
Good luck.
