What Causes Pain In Lower Back Radiating To Tail Bone?

Question: Hello.
I was on my knees wiping a floor 2 months ago when I moved a certain way and felt an excruciating pain in my lower back. Pain went across my tail bone. I could not move out of that position for minutes.
I took ibuprofen and Flexeril for 4 days straight. It went way. Last week I had lower back pain again, perhaps sitting too long at work and then the next day I had what felt like my hips going down to my front of my thigh to knee cap go numb. Along with with felt like a nerve that went from the inner thigh to my ankle. When I tried stretching it would hurt/burn. At times, would feel as though skin were cold/hot. Again, took ibuprofen and Flexeril and it calmed down. In the past two days it has come back.
There is a little pain in the lower back but the numbness is there. Legs are just achy. I have had no weakness. I am still able to walk briskly and do normal activities. The numbness is a huge concern though..
I have not gone to a doctor yet..
What could this mean?

Brief Answer:
Get MRI scan done.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have read your query.
I want to clear the point that nerves which supply the lower limb comes from lumbar region (lower back). In your case these nerves get compressed, so they cause pain in you. There are many reasons for compression of nerves. So to make exact diagnose I advise to you to get MRI scan of lumbosacral spine done and send me the report. I want to see the present condition of your vertebrae, intervertebral discs, nerves and other soft tissues.
Till the you can take aceclofenac+thiocolchicoside, pregabalin by prescription from your local doctor.
I hope it helps.
Thanks.
Dr.Singh.
