What Causes Pain In Lower Leg?

Question: I started jogging from last two week, it is exact 4 KM (to and fro). Now I got pain in lower leg and a bit in thighs, now added in knee (knee joint) Plz suggest how to reduce this pain.

This question was answered by Dr. Bhagylaxmi, I apologize, could not replied to Dr.Bhagylaxmi. That time my knee joint pain was not there.

Thanks for your update.
Mostly this pain is due to muscle strain.
I suggest you anti inflammatory medication like Ibuprofen with paracetamol combination twice a day after food.
I also suggest you Hot water bag fomentation to relieve your pain.
I also suggest you topical analgesics like Brugel.

Sometimes overuse of joints can cause ligament strain.

I suggest you decrease distance of jogging and you can do alternative exercises like aerobics or other physical exercises.
Stretching exercises will help you.

If you will not feel better after 5 days then I suggest you visit a doctor for clinical examination and get blood tests like vitamin D and B 12 and any other blood tests if needed.

I will use Hot water bag fomentation.

I think. As you suggested it is b'coz overuse of joints caused ligament strain.

Im started jogging for weight loss, i will alternative exercises like aerobics or other physical exercises.

May I know some other excerises for weight loss ?

Thanks for follow up.

Other exercises like yoga, swimming, stationary cycling, brisk walk for 30 minutes daily or you can join into Gym and do physical exercises with gym master instructions for few months.

Along with exercises you have to maintain your diet.
Say no to Oil, fast and junk food.
Avoid late night food. Eat 2 hours before going bed.
Eat small meals with 2-3 hours interval.
Eat fruits and vegetables like salads.
