What Causes Pain In Lower Part Of Stomach And Gas?

THis sounds like irritable bowel syndrome!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. From the information you have provided, the origin of these symptoms is certainly from the digestive tract. It is rather unfortunate that after extensive testing, no exact cause to these symptoms was identified, though it remains annoying because you are not feeling well. However, this reassures us that despite these symptoms, nothing grossly abnormal is responsible for this or is going on. This leaves me with the diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome.
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common disorder that affects the large intestine. Irritable bowel syndrome commonly causes cramping, abdominal pain, bloating gas, diarrhea and constipation. Despite these uncomfortable signs and symptoms, IBS doesn't cause permanent damage to your colon. Most people with IBS find that symptoms improve as they learn to control their condition.
Because no exact cause of these symptoms is identified, treatment mainly consists in managing the symptoms. For instance, you would be prescribed antispasmodic drugs for pain, anti diarrheal medications, etc. Talk to your doctor and make sure that you have the necessary prescription to control your symptoms.
I hope this helps. I wish you well and thank you so much for using our services. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications should need be.

Hi and thanks for this follow up. It is certainly difficult to tell a client who really feels sick that there is no abnormality. It seems so so unreal but, that is the reality. You have had extensive testing including a colonsocopy that should be able to show diverticulosis or diverticulitis. That was simply not the case.
Please, there is no identifiable abnormality right now. All we can do is to address the symptoms individually hoping to control your ill health.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Let me know if there is something more you want me to clarify with you at this point.

Pre-cancerous polyps and growths in the intestinal lumen that have been shown on histopathological examination to posses properties of evolving into full grown cancers. They themselves are not cancers but the cells present atypical features that are commonly seen in the natural course of cancer development.
I believe you when you report these sensations. Our best investigations have not been able to pick a cause and that is why we term it irritable bowel syndrome. The bowels are not in any way pathological that we can say this is the cause of your symptoms but your symptoms are of course real.
The best medical approach is to treat the various symptoms. Follow up i future may show something new that may warrant treatment modification. For now, we are not just there.
I hope this helps. I wish you well.

Detailed Answer:
Diverticulitis is inflammation of colon diverticuloses, which are small protrusions through the colon wall. It generally presents with fever, pain and blood in stool. The fever is often high and needs antibiotics for this to be controlled. You have never reported this.
If I were your doctor, I will try to treat every symptom with the available drugs as no cause has been identified. Stomach pain is often related to gastritis and trying medications lime omeprazole, ranitidine could help relief the pains or make us understand that it is not from the stomach and look else where.
The same holds for this left lower side pain.Have you had the chance to see a gastroenterologist? what were his conclusions and can you provide me with a list of the various medications he got you on right now? If you think he is not considering any other possibilities and is unable to control your symptoms, I will suggest you seek a new consultation from scratch with another gastroenterologist just to make sure there is nothing he is missing or not picking up.
I hope this helps. Let me hear from you!

Certainly, I don't think You are not crazy!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this follow up information.
At least, I am happy to hear that your scripts returned with a diagnosis that can help shape further treatment decisions. Diverticulosis is present in a greater majority of the elderly. The main provoking and aggravating factor is chronic constipation. This is why eating enough vegetables, fibers, fruits, drinking much water an do regular exercises to keep stool's consistency normal is very important.
With the finding of diverticulosis, IBS is completely out of the way. We would never mention IBS if a pathological condition is identified. However, diverticuloses are generally silent unless a complication sets in. With this severe pain that you have reported, your doctors would want to check if there are any possible complications that can explain these symptoms.
Also, have you ever had an upper GI scope? It may be of value to look at what is going on in the stomach and early portion of the duodenum. This is even more important as you seem to have no relief from omeprazole.
I hope this helps. wish you well. Let me know if there is something more you would like us to talk about at this time.

Hi and thank you so much for this follow up information.
I can imagine how much pain you are in. Your XXXXXXX make me fee terrible and I am asking whether there is just nothing that could be done in the interim to relief you of these pains before as we work on identifying the exact cause for a better and more comprehensive management.
I cannot tell whether you would need hospitalization. the decision is often made after listening to you and evaluating you. Unfortunately, I cannot do both and would be unable to address this. However, I am sure the doctor would act in your best interest. Should your health condition warrant hospitalization, I am pretty convinced just this would be done.
I really hope that the new doctor comes up with real solutions. It is never an easy task battling with pain. I can only wish you the best out of this visit right now. Please, kindly keep me updated as you navigate this process.

I am so happy for you!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for these updates.
What matters most is the fact that you are feeling better than it has been in the past 6months. I hope this improvement would get even better and permit you to live everyday feeling more comfortable.
Why the other doctors didn't consider this option is difficult to guess and only they know best. I will like that if you get the chance, send them a quick message to let the know that amitryptyllin helped and they may want to consider that for their patients in future with similar symptoms and disease condition.
I wish you the best of all possible outcomes and above all a pain free live. Always feel free to talk to me each time you need my advice/suggestions and recommendations.

I am so sorry to hear that things turned gray so fast when we were almost settling to celebrate some success. This is rather troubling and I don't think I can tell for sure what the exact problem is or the magical solution would be. But, I believe that somehow we would be able to get a way out. It is very difficult to live everyday battling with pains. Please, don't just give up at this time but keep the faith and believe in your doctors to do something about it.
Your sleep apnea is concerning and the drop in O2 and heart rates are severe. I think you need a home breathing aid like CPAP machines to ensure that you don't fall this low in your sleep. Talk to your doctor for this and if you have seen a pulmonologist in the past, follow up with him and if not, consider seeing one.
Do you have any issues with your weight?
I wish you well.

How are you feeling?
Detailed Answer:
Hope you got some relief already from the medications. If this isn't the case, I feel so sorry for this. Your symptoms seem so so severe and concerning for a possible ongoing disease process. IBS causes annoying symptoms but rarely pains in this magnitude that you have reported.
Someone needs to go that extra mile to help with your symptoms. Unfortunately, can only provide advice. Have you had any abdominal angiograms?
I wish you the best!

Something does not seem right really.
Detailed Answer:
I believe something doesn't seem right here. However, I cannot examine you or do anything beyond advising.
I will suggest you let the last doctor you consulted know that you are really still in severe and even worse pains and let's see whether he has more ideas with clues obtained from physical exam and the tests you have done already.
I wish you well.
