Brief Answer:
Swelling, pain, nausea.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for using Healthcare Magic. The symptoms of a hernia in the right lower quadrant would be a swelling in the groin as well as pain. The swelling may be more noticeable when standing up or straining such as when lifting. There may be no obvious abnormality when lying down.
A hernia in this area is often an inguinal hernia. An inguinal hernia usually occurs when fatty tissue or a part of the bowel, such as the intestine, pokes through into the groin at the top of the inner thigh.
Further symptoms can be caused if the hernia causes problems such as obstruction. This is when a section of bowel becomes stuck in the hernia and causes nausea, vomiting and pain. Also, if a section of bowel becomes stuck and its blood supply cut off, the bowel becomes strangulated and is at risk of permanent damage. This will cause severe pain, and vomiting and requires emergency surgery.
I hope this is of help. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
