Question : Hi, I'm back. Extrem pain over the last two days. Lower right side. Yes, I'm taking a n immune modulatory drug, will see the specialist again in 7 weeks. Blood tests and fecal tests before I go. This pain has been coming and going recently, perhaps 3 days pain free, the the pain sets in again. When I saw him last week, he said it is an infection in the illiumn and cecumn. So, I'm takeieng the antibiotics for that. I will keep you informed. But, I will ask for a CT scan and a n ultrasound. Hi
Pain in right lower quadrant of the abdomen can be due to Appendicitis or Right side Ureteric stone or Right sided Ovarian cyst which got twisted.
These conditions are confirmed by Ultrasound abdomen. If Ultrasound is inconclusive, you can get a CT SCAN.
Terminal ileum will end there and joins the Caecum with appendix at the junction. Apart from antibiotic, I also prescribe anti inflammatory tablet to my patients with similar complaints. In some, I add pre and Probiotic capsule also.
I would like to know the indication for using Immunomodulator drug.
