Question : My husband has a bad pain in middle of his back that he says feels like it is going through to his sterinum. Also said hurts when he breaths.

I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,

I have gone through your question and understand your concern. Your husband may be having mild pleurisy as he is having pain during breathing and pain is from back to sternum.It is inflammation of covering of lung. You can further exclude other causes by x ray chest. Treatment of it is rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Vitamin B and C is helpful in recovery.
