Brief Answer:
Better to get done chest x ray.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system.
2. Chest x ray.
Your symptoms like coughing out lot of mucus and right sided chest pain are seen with lower respiratory tract infection ( LRTI )-Pneumonia.
Pneumonia causes pleurisy ( inflammation of pleura ). And this causes chest pain.
So chest x ray is needed to rule out lung infection ( pneumonia ).
No point in taking haphazard antibiotic as this will cause more harm and delay the recovery and increase the chances of drug resistance.
So better to consult pulmonologist and first rule out pneumonia.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.
