Question: i have pain in my nose. The pain is bad and I am sure it is related to sinuses. It feels like somebody punched me in the nose. It is very tender on the bone pretty much where eye glasses rest.
About 3 weeks ago I went to a walk in clinic because I felt awful. Sneezing some chills sinues chills. The PA noted I had an ear infection and gave me a 7 day antibiotic which I took as prescribed to the end. I felt better a day later. However this pain in the nose is new.

Hi!

Welcome to health care magic!

I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.

First of all it is sad to know what you had been going through for quote sometime.

Likely history of ear infection, along with involvement of nose can also be related to each other, however you said you used the complete course of antibiotic and felt better, so it can be new entity as well.

You need to be evaluated by an ENT specialist, and keep on using fexofenadine but you may need to switch your antibiotic, like azithromycin or moxifloxacin. I would also recommend you to use ibuprofen or acetaminophen along with it to reduce pain n inflammation.

Keep using steam inhalations, and hot beverages.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me generously before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
