I have studied your case.I think that your pain can be due to muscular problem or sleeping in wrong position. I want to know few details from you.
1.Did you had any injury to elbow?
2.Did you have thyroid or Diabetes or stroke in past?
3.Is this pain going up to fingers?

I believe that the "sleeping in wrong position" reply might be the problem, but I remembered hearing years ago that it might be an indication of a heart problem.
To answer your questions:
No injuries.
I'm a type 2 Diabetic. (Approximately 14 years)
Having had a recent bout of constipation, I consulted a gastroenterologist who suggested that I try a few samples of Linzess which seems to have solved the problem other than leaving me with extremely hard stools.
I bring this up because he mentioned "thyroid" and further testing, but as a care-giver, finding time for this is sometimes perplexing.
I will see him for a follow up in May so I will bring it up.
Lastly, "pain" may be a bit exaggerated ----more like a dull , "tingly" uncomfortableness that does go up to the fingers.

Hello,
Heart pain never goes in to right side so do not be worry about that. It is dull ache so I believe it is more likely a wrong posture pain I have following suggestions for you.
1.Hot water fomentation
2.Volini gel local application
3.Tablet Brufen for pain relief.
4.Avoid sleeping on that side of the shoulder.
