Question : Hi,My daughter is 2 years 3 months old and she is skinny baby.Couple of weeks back her breast started growing little and when i mentioned this to her doc,she advised to wait and watch for sometime.Now she is complaining pain in the breast area and underarm area.We are very concerned and worried about my daughter.Can you please suggest how to proceed.

Hi Dear
Welcome to the HCM,
Unilateral swelling and pain in the breast nodule in such a small child needs to be investigated by endocrinologist and examined by the surgeon.
CXRay, Ultrasound soft tissue, CBC, ESR, CT SCAN can also be considered to rule out any intra/extra thoracic leison.
Left sided swelling and pain may also be connected with the exaggerated BCG Vaccine response (BCGiosis)
Let the local site to be examined by the general surgeon. He may come out with some immediate diagnosis of any abnormal growth/ infective pathology.
