Question : Lately I have been having some pain radiating from chest to shoulder on my left side. Concerned because I have a family history of heart issues.

Although your pain isn't necessarily related to cardiac issues, you should be scheduled for a cardiologist appointment.

Since you have a positive familiar history for cardiac problems, you should do a complete cardiac evaluation.

If you were my patient I would recommend to do the following examinations to find out what is causing your symptom:
- Blood work
- Ecg
- Cardiac echo
- Stress test
