Brief Answer:
Take treatment as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
You are suffering from post herpetic neuralgia.
The throat symptoms are not so common and require examination by an ENT specialist for any local cause.
Other drugs which can be added are carbamazepine or amitryptiline.
Gabapentin dose can be increased too if tolerated.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
