Question: I am a 19 year old female. I have been competively dancing for 10 years. I am extremely flexibility and it great shape. I have noticed for the past few months my right knee hurts very bad on the inner side when i sit XXXXXXX style or with it bent for too long. Or even XXXXXXX style for a short period. It hurts behind it on the inner side when i walk after sitting for a while. I can’t remember a specific time injuring it. Maybe just over time. But it hurts pretty bad. It also hurts if i push on it sometimes.

Brief Answer:
Can be a mild inflammation.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

At your young age, the pain in the knee is more likely to be due to stress-related minor capsular inflammation rather decrease in the joint lubricants.

The mild inflammation of the knee after some activity mostly subsides by taking anti-inflammatory agents and mild painkillers like ibuprofen. In some cases for acute problem muscle relaxants like thiocolchicoside are needed after consulting with your orthopedician.

I hope this answers your query.

Wishing you good health.
