Have had the pain there for about a week. Not sure how it started/probably over did some bending/lifting. I have not been told that I have DiBETES, BUT I KNOW THAT 1 OF MY GRANDMOTHERS had it. I do also get pain in my lower legs and feet once in awhile ( 3/4 times a week ) and have planters whatever in my left foot that I ice down

Brief Answer:
You need to get Mri of the spine

Hello,
It is nerve compression in spine which is causing this pain to you. I would recommend you following.
1.start taking physiotherapy to improve your back muscle strengthening exercises. It will give you slow but lasting benefit.
2.take Pregabalin M tablet at night time.
3.take Muscle relaxant like Myoril or Myospaz two tablet daily.
4.hot water fomentation and volitran gel local application is also useful.
5.avoid forward bending, weight lifting or sudden jerk to spine.
6.get MRI of the spine If pain continues. It will tell the extent of compression.
