Brief Answer:
Colicky pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You had not mentioned about nausea, vomiting or bowel movements.
The lower right abdomen pain could be because of few causes. Since it occurs when you sit then it is positional it could be originating from colon or the abdominal muscles over the right colon or terminal ileum. It seems not bothersome anyway.
You can take any over the counter anticolicky medication that has Simethicone available. If that does not resolve then you need a prescription medicine.

Is it likely from some physical exertion?

Brief Answer:
Very well

Detailed Answer:
Yes, physical exertion can cramp the muscles. If you take some electrolytes then the muscles will replenish with the lost ones.
You may try that.

Brief Answer:
Assessment

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
since it's been few weeks now, it should not be ignored. a chance of initial stages of hernia cannot be ruled out when you physically exert.
I suggest an assessment from a primary physician. book an appointment now.
