Question : I have been having extreme pain on medial side of my leg. It starts at the groin and goes down to the ankle. If I try to move it becomes more severe. It used to just happen at night but now I feel it throbbing during the day. I'm wondering if I should take this seriously and go see my physician.

Brief Answer:
Can be a muscle spasm.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain on the medial side of the leg that you have can be due to a muscle spasm. This can happen due to an abnormal posture or a problem related to the hip joint. You need to consult an orthopedician for proper examination to find out the cause as it is recurrent. Till then doing a hot compress and taking an oral muscle relaxant can help.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
