Now I get sharp pain on movement. I'm about to leave for vacation Monday & it seems to be getting worse.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome at HCM
I am Dr Saad Sultan and I totally understand your health concerns.
For how long you are suffering from it? Is there any numbness along with it?
Based upon the description provided , it appear to be musculoskeletal pain. If I am your attending doctor , I will get an x ray of the affected spines to look for any pathology. Do proper bed rest and avoid any physical exertion.
There is need to use muscle relaxants and pain killers. You may need to use tizanidine 2mg at night along with the acetaminophen 500mg two times a day.
Meet orthopedic surgeon for proper clinical assessment.
Hope it helps.
Regards
Dr Saad Sultan
