Question : yesterday i had strong pain on the right side of my neck and radiating down my back to the shoulder.
today not so much but now there is swelling in the right gland and pain in the jaw and swallowing.
could this be strep? ive never had it before

A swelling in the right gland with pain during swallowing is suggestive of an infection in the throat.

A throat swab culture will help in confirming the exact diagnosis. Proper prescription antibiotics are needed for relief.

Till then you can do warm saline gargles and take a mild pain killer (PARACETAMOL i.e.Tylenol) and see if it helps.
