Brief Answer:
Pleuritic pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the query.

IF the pain is only on cough and deep inhalation it could be pleuritic pain. Plerisy is inflammation of the covering over the lungs. When you cough or deeply inhale the two layers of the pleura touch where there is inflammation and cause pain.

If it is for very long time you should get this evaluated. If this is for only couple of days you can try normal pain killers like Ibuprofen before seeing a doctor.

There are other reasons for such type of pain like injury, costochondritis (ribs ), acid reflux.
Let me know if you have any specific questions about my opinion.

Thanks Doctor for the immediate reply

Whenever I hold breath/applying some force while standing in some purticular posture or if I lift something and move, i feel these kind of pain under the ribs, mostly backside. Is plerisy dangerous? Shud I consult a Doctor? or the pain killer will do?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Transverse abdominis strain

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

There is a big and deep muscles on the side walls of abdomen which is deep inside that pain on deep inspiration, ie transverse abdominis.
When you say particular posture I could think of this muscle straining inside causing such pain.
PLeurisy is not dangerous unless coupled with other serious symptoms like high fever, breathless XXXXXXX chestpain.
I suggest to consult doctor and take pain killer with muscle relaxant. These are prescription only medications hence need one to dispense at pharmacy.
This should go away with proper medication in few days.
