Question : My Mother fell on her back and was taken to ER by paramedics. She was checked out thoroughly, and they were glad that she could walk to the bathroom. The following day she experienced pain in her inner thigh and down to her foot. She cannot walk without her walker now, and still experiences the pain which can be sharp and aching. She is ninety five years old. Could this be sciatica or Thrombosis?

The pain that she is having from the thigh till foot is more likely to be due to sciatica. It is not likely to be thrombosis. This is a nerve related pain. Taking oral muscle relaxants, methylcobalamin and medicines like pregabalin can help her. It is best to consult a neurologist for proper prescription medicines.
