Question : I had a HIDA scan Friday and within two hours after the scan I experienced pain in the upper right quadrant and nausea and by evening I had a bad headache that became extreme within 24 hours. It's now been 48 hours and the headache has not let up, should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
Should seek Medical attention, see a Doctor please.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
Nausea and pain in upper right quadrant within two hours, bad headache becoming extreme within 24 hours and still continuing after 48 hours may need a medical attension to rule out a possible cause of allergy to the tracer used or to see for the cause of headache by clinical evaluation, examination and investigations if needed.
Yes, you should be concerned as it is 48 hours that the headache is continued.

I hope this answers your query.
