Brief Answer:
Esophagitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

It looks like you have esophagitis probably due to gastroesophageal reflux disease.
An upper GI endoscopy may be done to confirm it.
Since you are having some relief with Pantoprazole, continue taking it.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.

Thank you for your assistance.

How long do I have to take Pantaprazol, secondly there is no pain when I swallowed whole ice cube. There after I tried the same few more times and never felt any pain.

two three times I applied Dynapar gel over the area and there was no pain while swallowing at that time also.

The slight pain, ache is only felt while swallowing and exact location is outer side of right chest i.e. between right side of areola and right arm. Had mouth ulcers 2 days prior to starting of this swallowing pain which healed after 10-15 days.

By Mouth ulcer I mean very small size tiny red blisters over tounge, inner lips and top area inside mouth above tounge.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me with more questions.
You need to take pantoprazole for 4 weeks.
Since you felt better with Dynapar gel, the pain could be muscular in origin.
The mouth ulcers you had could be aphthous ulcers.

Thank you Dr. for your assistance which have been little helpful to reduce my anxiety, panic.

Three more querys are.

1) How long will it take this slight pain while swallowing, burping to subside completely with 4 weeks of suggested Pantaprazole course. As I am continuously very anxious while eating and not at all relaxed and under tremendous anxiety, panic. I don't have any other symptom except for light pain over right chest area near arm only while swallowing & burping.

2) I am taking Nupenta DSR empty stomach and whenever I start the course I have a loose motion 3-4 times a day, do I have to take other or additional medication.

3) Does Applying Dynapar gel over the said chest area can also mask the pain due to esophagitis, as I don't feel any pain for few hours while swallowing, burping after applying gel over my said chest area.

Hope you will answer all my three querys, so I can have some relief from my anxiety.

Thanks once again.

Regards

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me with more questions

1. As long as you have anxiety the symptom relief will not be good. You can practice meditation for controlling anxiety. Take Pantoprazole for 4 weeks.

2. If loose stools persists for a longer duration, take Econorm twice a day. Include yogurt in your diet.

3. No, applying Dynapar over the chest will not mask the pain due to esophagitis.

Dr.R.K.
