What Causes Pain In Upper Back And Numbness Below Breast?
Question: I have a dull pain that started this week on my left side, upper back but below the shoulders. I also have on the left side on the front below the breast, a tingly/numbness.

Thank you for getting back with the answers. I have gone through them.
Yes, most probably this pain is because of muscular spasm. If i were your treating doctor then i would have advised following things:
- naproxen twice a day for 5 days.
- take hot water in a rubber bottle and put it at the site of pain. It will give soothing effect.
- avoid lifting heavy weight till you become healthy again.
- ask some family member to do oil massage on your back. It will also give soothing effect.
- baseline ECG to rule put any cardiac pathology.
Hopefully you will observe improvement soon but If pain persists then visit hospital for workup & physiotherapy.
