Question : I am having pain in my upper jaws from last 1 week. It is especially during yawning, otherwise I don't feel the pain. Even i am not able to open my mouth completely because of that pain.

The pain is just next to the middle of my right ear and to an extend i can make out that the pain is not due to any infection in my teeth or any ear problem.

What should i do to get rid of this pain?

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX ,

Thanks for consulting Healthcare magic .
This is Dr. Priyanka tiwari answering your query .

I have read your query and understand your concern . Pain in upper jaw is concerned during yawning and opening mouth wide can be due to Temporomandibular joint disorder or due to Impacted wisdom tooth .
Based on details provided I will suggest you few measures :
- Avoid excessive mouth opening .
- Do Hot formentation ( take a towel and warm water . Dip your towel in warm water . After few seconds squeeze water and place that warm towel on upper jaw region ) .
- Apply Ointment like Relaxyl gel or ointment containing Diclofenac sodium or Nimuselide .
- I would also suggest medicine like Myospaz forte or Flexon MR. You can try these medicine under guidance of your local doctor .
- Do warm saline rinses 2 to 3 times a day .

Take these measures for one week and if symptoms persists then consult oral physician for clinical examination and investigation OPG to rule out the cause .

Hope I have answered your query .
If you have further query I will be happy to help.
